Saving Mount Everest
The goals of the project „Saving Mount Everest“ are to restore the dignity of the Mount Everest and to implement a sustainable waste management concept for Nepal's World Nature Heritage Sagarmatha National Park.
The project started in autumn 2010 and will finish at the end of 2013 with the implementation of a waste prevention and recycling conept that will be turned over to local hands, to ensure sustainability.
The government of Nepal, local and international partners such as the Trekking Agents Association of Nepal and UNESCO support the project.
