Our Organisation
We are an international non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Salzburg, Austria and a regional office in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Our Goals
Since 1992, we have worked mainly with local grass-roots initiatives and village community groups to achieve a sustainable improvement in the living conditions of the local population.

Funding
The majority of our projects in Nepal are financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation. Our work in Tibet is financed primarily by private sponsors, donations and sales proceeds.

Our Work in Nepal focuses on four sectors:

Small-scale hydropower and solar energy

Poverty alleviation and biodiversity conservation

Sustainable tourism

Cultural cooperation and preservation of the cultural heritage
