Tourism Management Training for Nepalese Personnel

Tourism is one of the most important factors in the economy of Nepal generating foreign exchange and employment.

In order to come up to international standards, the quality of the infra-structure and the services needs to be improved. There is a marked lack of trained personnel. In view of this situation, Eco Himal is promoting the training of personnel engaged in the tourism business in particular in the areas of :

• Marketing
• Sales
• Kitchen Management and Hygiene
• Sanitation

Since 1999, training courses in Electronic Marketing and Kitchen Management have been conducted throughout the years, including a special course for personnel with disability : deaf mute participants.
