In recent years, Nepal was suffering from terrible monsoon rainfall. EcoHimal started donation campaigns and supported flood victimes and villages in the project regions Khotang, Solukhumbu, Khavre and Okhaldunga. With the help of a Swiss Foundation, many private donors and some CSR-agreements with Austrian and German companies, destroyed water systems and sanitary infrastructur could be repaired to prevent local farmers from severe diseases or epidemic plagues. Furthermore, damaged houses could be repaired and in order to avoid famine in the remote valleys, numerous farmers received seeding material.
